Clinical & diagnostic
Allergists, clinical researchers and diagnostic developers who need defined source materials, extracts or characterized allergens for research, assay development and evaluation.
Source Protein Technologies is building specialized capabilities for the sourcing, extraction, purification, characterization and recombinant production of allergenic proteins in India.
An allergen preparation carries the history of its source. Pollen is defined by taxon and flowering window. House dust mites — Dermatophagoides spp. — depend on culture medium, temperature and humidity. Fungal material reflects strain and growth stage. Food allergens vary with cultivar, maturity and processing.
Source Protein Technologies is organised around that reality: a company dedicated to allergenic proteins and allergen source materials, building the sourcing, biological handling, processing, purification and analytical capabilities that this field asks for — in one place, in India.
Identity, season and provenance recorded where the material is collected or cultured.
Mites and fungi are grown, not bought. Conditions are set, held and documented.
Each preparation stays linked to the material and the process that produced it.
Six stages, each one a discipline of its own. Select a stage to read what happens there.
Source collection and culturing through to protein chemistry, immunological analysis and recombinant expression — developed as a single connected capability rather than isolated services.
Allergen research does not sit inside a single field. A single well-defined allergen requires the biology of its source, the chemistry of the protein, the immunology of the response it provokes, and the molecular tools to reproduce it.
Aerobiology, taxonomy, seasonality and the ecology of allergen-bearing organisms.
Extraction chemistry, separation, structural integrity and quantification.
IgE reactivity, epitope behaviour and the analytical methods that measure it.
Sequence-defined expression of allergens as consistent, characterized proteins.
Source Protein Technologies is based in Kolkata. The region's climate, vegetation and long aerobiological record make it a substantive place from which to study allergen sources — and a practical base for building the infrastructure this work needs.
Our scientific intent is not local. We are building capabilities meant to hold up in national and international research, diagnostic and biotechnology collaborations.
Allergen science connects clinical practice, diagnostics, protein chemistry and molecular biology. We are set up to work alongside the people already doing that work.
Defined source materials and characterized allergens for clinical and translational research.
Allergen inputs for assay development, evaluation and reference work.
Collaboration on allergen sourcing, extraction, characterization and recombinant expression.
Protein production and purification collaborations within the allergen field.
Scientific partnership on allergen preparation and analytical characterization.
Joint projects, method development and student research in allergen biology.
Source Protein Technologies is a biotechnology company in Kolkata, West Bengal, dedicated to allergenic proteins and the biological materials they come from.
Allergen work is usually split across places that do not talk to each other: material is collected in one setting, extracted in another, characterized somewhere else. Consistency is lost between the steps.
We are building the opposite arrangement — sourcing, culturing, extraction, purification, characterization and recombinant production developed together, by one group, with the same standards applied end to end. Our focus is deliberately narrow so the depth can be real.
The company is in an early, deliberate build phase. We describe what we are developing rather than what we might claim, and we would rather be judged on scientific rigour than on positioning.
One field, studied properly, instead of a broad catalogue of unrelated services.
Conditions, provenance and analysis recorded so results can be repeated.
Built to work with clinicians, researchers and companies rather than around them.
Eastern India offers a rich and varied set of allergen sources, from regional pollen flora to the humid conditions that shape mite and fungal biology. We are building here, and collaborating well beyond here.
Eight capabilities being developed as one connected workflow, from the collection of biological source material to the expression of sequence-defined allergens.
Allergen research sits at the intersection of four disciplines. Our technical approach is built to hold all four at once.
Taxonomy, seasonality, aerobiology and the ecology of pollen, mites and fungi.
Extraction chemistry, chromatographic separation, integrity and quantification.
IgE reactivity and the immunological methods used to characterize allergens.
Sequence-defined expression, purification and analysis of recombinant allergens.
Natural allergen sources vary. Two collections of the same species can differ by season, site and handling; two mite cultures can differ by humidity alone. Most difficulties in allergen work trace back to that variability.
Our technical priorities follow from it: define the source, control the biology, standardise the chemistry, measure what you made, and move to recombinant proteins where a defined sequence is the better answer.
Species, origin, season and handling recorded before anything is extracted.
Media, temperature and humidity held and logged across culture cycles.
Protein and immunological analysis on every preparation, not on assumption.
We are looking for scientific partners — clinical, academic and industrial — whose work needs well-defined allergen sources or characterized allergenic proteins.
If your work touches allergen material at any point, there is likely a useful conversation to have.
Allergists, clinical researchers and diagnostic developers who need defined source materials, extracts or characterized allergens for research, assay development and evaluation.
Groups working on allergen biology, protein chemistry or immunology, including joint projects, method development and student research.
Organizations working with allergenic proteins who need sourcing, extraction, purification, characterization or recombinant expression support.
Tell us what material or protein your work requires, the scale you are thinking about, and the timeline. We will tell you plainly what we can support now and what we are still building.
Scientific enquiries, collaboration proposals and material requests all reach the same team.
